DISPATCH VS DELIVERY

On the product page for each item you will see when the item will be dispatched, eg: Dispatched in 1-3 days.
Dispatch is the date that the item(s) will leave our warehouse. All in-stock items will be dispatched from our warehouse within 1-3 business days. For products that are “Pre-order’, a member of our team will be in contact to confirm the item lead time and estimated delivery.

We have 3 warehouses located in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, depending on where you are located, the delivery time frame may vary. 


DELIVERY SERVICE

On receipt of the order you will be contacted by email, text or phone call by our Customer Service staff to confirm stock availability. If goods are in stock and allocated to your order, a delivery date can be arranged. If the goods are out of stock in the state warehouse, then a dispatch date will be provided, otherwise for Pre-Order items you will be notified an expected arrival date into our warehouse.

 For our deliveries, we will always text or email you by 9am on the day of arranged delivery date to confirm your allocated 2-hour delivery timeslot. If at 9am you have not received the delivery time, please call 1300 347 937 for an update.

All orders require ID verification and signature on delivery from the person that placed the order.



Assembly Service

Assembly of products is offered as an additional service by the delivery team.
If this service is required, please ensure this is selected during the cart / checkout process. 


Examples of the service includes:
Bed Frames: Products removed from packaging and bed frame assembled.
Bedside Tables: Products removed from packaging & handles attached.
Dresser Base: Products removed from packaging & handles attached.
Dresser & Mirror: Products removed from packaging, mirror attached to base & handles attached.
Tallboy: Products removed from packaging & handles attached.
Ensemble Base: Products removed from packaging & legs / glides attached.
Sofa & Arm Chairs & Ottomans: Products removed from packaging & legs / power cords (if applicable) attached.
Dining Tables: Products removed from packaging & legs attached.
Dining Chairs: Products removed from packaging & legs attached (if applicable).
Buffets, Coffee Tables, Consoles & TV Units: Products removed from packaging & legs attached (if applicable).

Marble & Concrete Dining Table Assembly is included in the delivery charge.

If assembly is required, please ensure there is sufficient space in the room.

The assembly service also includes the responsible removal of rubbish.


DELIVERY TIMES

Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane Metro:

If you live in Sydney Metro, Melbourne Metro or Brisbane Metro all in-stock items will be delivered to you on day of dispatch. In cases where your item is not in stock in your closest warehouse, your product may take up to an additional 10 days to arrive with you as it needs to be transferred from our interstate warehouse.

 

Out of Metro Deliveries and all other states:

Delivery timeframes will vary based on where you are located. Below is an approximate delivery time for each state

NSW: 1-10 Days - Central Coast, Newcastle, Katoomba / Blue Mountains, Wollongong & Goulburn

VIC: 1-10 Days – Hoppers Crossing, Tullamarine, Geelong & Frankston

ACT: 1-10 Days – Canberra Metro Area

QLD: 1-10 Days – Gold Coast, North Lakes, Ipswich, Toowoomba & Coolangatta

SA: 1-10 Days – Adelaide Metro Area



DELIVERY INFORMATION

It is your responsibility:

  • To ensure the goods purchased will fit into the nominated property; this includes but is not limited to property access, stairs, doorways etc.
  • To be present at the agreed time of delivery, and allow access to the driver.
  • On delivery, to check condition of packaging, correct number of packages, and examine the goods before signing the delivery docket.
  • Delivery will take place at the address specified by you when placing your order. Delivery date and time will be confirmed via phone or email within 24 hours after order has been placed. An automated text message will be sent on the morning of delivery to ensure that you, or somebody nominated by you, will be available to accept delivery.
  • If the delivery driver is unable to obtain access at the agreed time on the agreed day, you will be charged by the contract carrier for any subsequent delivery.
  • Any damage at time of delivery must be reported to Sleeping Giant Customer Service within 48 hours of delivery.
  • In the event of any unforeseen circumstances on delivery date and time (including but not limited to vehicle breakdown, traffic accident or severe weather) Customer Service will contact you immediately to make alternative arrangements.
  • To ensure the order has been paid in full prior to delivery being arranged, deliveries will not be arranged for unpaid orders.

WAREHOUSE PICK UPS

Collection from our warehouses can be arranged once your order has been confirmed by the Customer Service Staff.

MEASURE FOR DELIVERY

Tight doorways, building lifts, narrow halls and staircases can be a problem when delivering new furniture.
Be sure that the piece will fit in—and into—your home before placing your order.
Here's how:


1. Pick The Right Piece

Make sure the furniture you're considering works in your space. Our dimensions (Width, Depth, Length, Height) will help you decide.
To help visualise, map out the area where the piece will be placed, using masking tape or sheets of paper.

2. Measure Your Home

It's important to make sure that the piece will fit in all entryways before placing your order.

  1. Measure the height (A) and width (B) of all doors, lifts and hallways.
  2. For narrow entryways and corners, also measure the total clearance length (C) between the outside and interior walls.
  3. Determine the best pathway from outside your home to where the piece will live.
Measure Your Home

Ensure you take into account for lights, fixtures, decorative moldings, interior walls, staircases, and lifts when measuring, as they may pose an obstacle when delivering to a building or once the piece is in your home.

3. Note Furniture Measurements

Referencing the measurements info on each product page, locate the width (W), depth (D), and height (H) of the piece.

Some products are delivered in individual pieces or dismantled. Dining tables have removable legs, Bed frames come dis-assembled minimising overall product height during delivery.

4. Make Sure It Fits Into Your Home

For Sofas + Chairs:

The width of the entryway must exceed at least one of the following: the piece's depth (D) or height (H).

If the entryway clearance (C) exceeds the piece's width (W), then you can move it in horizontally.

If the entryway clearance (C) is less than the piece's width (W), then you will need to attempt to move it in vertically, meaning that the entryway height (A) must exceed the piece's width (W).

Caution—the piece will not fit into your home if either of these instances holds true:

  1. The piece's width (W) exceeds both the entryway clearance (C) and height (A).
  2. If entryway width (B) is less than these measurements: the piece's depth (D) and height (H).

For Bookcases + Wallunits:

The width of the entryway (B) must exceed the piece's depth (D).

If the entryway clearance (C) exceeds the piece's height (H), then you can move it in horizontally.

If the entryway clearance (C) is less than the piece's height (H), then you will need to attempt to move it in vertically, meaning that the entryway height (A) must exceed the piece's height (H).

Caution—the piece will not fit into your home if the piece's height (H) exceeds both the entryway clearance (C) and height (A).
